As you know, George Carlin passed away this weekend.  I'd like to think it was a life well-lived, and that he left the world some small amount better then he found it. He took seven simple words, and challenged a repressive culture at the highest levels of power.  His comedic acts always carried a touch of irony, an exasperation at the lunacy of the world around us. When he appeared as a Catholic Cardinal in Dogma, I briefly thought to myself (Im Catholic) that I was surely going to Hell.  But in retrospect, is the irony of him standing as a man of God any different from the 'men of God' appearing in the media as a result of their activitie
